The "Save our S**ters" campaign, because one day we'll spot a '97 Mondeo and think "yeah, cool!"

Cos they are proper cars !
And most of them driving the correct wheels

yip I wonder if in 10 years they'll be any nissan Bluebirds around, bar mine. People may mock it saying its a crappy boxy old car the same way folk mocked my cortina, Capri, Allegro, Maestro, fiesta etc etc but all of those have appreciated in value over the years, I'd love another cortina but a good one is 3-4k!

I have the last laugh though as I've got tonnes of space round my engine, dead simple mechanics, don't have a cat to replace and easy emissions to pass

Bit of a cheek - Top Gear have destroyed more classics than Allister"strange eyebrows" Darling In the name of "entertainment!"

cheers

Not sure what happened there but had like 5 replies! have deleted and reposted.

yep thats my feeling with our daily an audi 80. People do seem to not like it. Its the most basic of the 80's i think it doesn't have power anything including steering!

Its dead easy to work on tho, access is good on all sides and is very simple to work on. It will also still do 35mpg. Just put a new rocker cover gasket on it, took about 30 mins and most of that was cleaning it!

Exactly, Cortinas are well cool, Sierras will be there soon if we haven't torn them all up. Mark 1 Fiesta, there's loads of them that deserve tlc due to them being old and a bit rare. I don't need any more reason, I mean look at the Morris Minor!
