Hello my little fudge fingers, does anyone have, or can point me towards, a three view drawing of a VW based Nova kit car?

Cheers

Chris

I know you're not the cheeky type, but it might be worth calling/emailing Richard Oakes and asking him, he designed it.

Bit nosey aren't we Andy?

I'm helping a mate who's rebuilding a Nova by doing him a 3d model for him to alter, only I'm not because I can't find a drawing!

The alternative, measuring the car up, could be difficult 'cos there's a tree growing through it at the mo....

cheers

Chris

EDIT: I'm not sure I'm that cheeky, would be nice to get in touch, I'm a big fan of his stuff.

Don't say things like that - you'll give Mark a heart attack!!

Aaah, the Nova....

First time I got the Kit Car bug was ....erm...lots of years ago....and the Nova was the one I wanted, until a mate of mine (6' tall - 4" less than me) told me he went to try one out and couldn't fit! So that idea went out the window

I really like them too.

There was one at Donny a few years ago with electric operated hood lift that I thought was very cool!

I'm 6'2" and fitted fine IIRC.

Cheers,
James

Maybe it's because the guy was larger horizontally too by a small amount

Anyway, sorted the fit problem....I'm building a McSorley +442

It's for his new book, Become an Old-School Chav for £250

Get a Nova and put a better engine in it to carry the massive sound system

It's not a Vauxhall Nova!!!

I'm guessing no one has a drawing then?

Bugger, where's my tape measure?

Cheers

Chris

Looking on the bright side, at least the owner has a ready-made hoist for their engine install.

I'm guessing a slightly larger crane will be needed to lift the car over the tree, though...

It's one of these

The bodyshell has been "stored" next to a barn since 1989 the tree has grown since.

This will not be an easy restoration

Cheers

Chris, your drawing looks great, photo looks pants. You need to make sure the wheels fill the arches and that's one awesome looking machine
