I am just curious to what everyone out there wears when they go for a drive/spin. Do you wear different clothing on long or short drives?
The reason i ask is I'm currently planning a trip to nurburgring at the end of this month and need to make the drive down as painless as possible
to maximise enjoyment when driving the Ring!
I need the lot people so can we talk:
Boots
Gloves
Jacket (good all rounder for showers?)
Trousers
All-in-one
I'm all ears.
if its sunny, i just wear t-shirt and sunglasses,
its its cold and im going long distance i will wear helmet and thermals
Don't underestimate the comfort of a pair of long thermals
helmet
jacket
jeans
all the time no matter how hot it is

I have some puma racing boots, v comfy and they are nice and narrow so not easy to press two pedals at once as it sometimes can be with trainers.
Similar to these:
V comfy to walk around in too, I've often worn them when not driving

tootling around i'm happy in my trainers, shorts, tshirt and shades, serious trip i.e distance, big roads, big speeds i'd always have
something covering my arms, and my helmet. on track and even on the ring i'd have my race suit, boots, gloves and helmet (you don't go to
the ring to tootal) if the weather turns i've been seen in thermals, gortex pants and coat, helmet and ski gloves.
when i had the xflow in i couldn't wear shorts as the tunnel got too hot!

Here's me in my cold/wet weather gear:
Bobble hat, goggles, ski mask, windproof gloves and a biker jacket. It's very good for scaring small children and their mothers as they use the
zebra crossing in front of you. Warm and cosy too.
Of course, if the weather is good then it's just a t-shirt and jeans and a really stupid grin!

I hardly ever go out without a lid on, maybe just round the doors but if intending to go over 40mph its a helmet all the way.
Lightweight storm jacket when its warm, waterproof bike coat and bike gloves when its cold or wet.
Out last weekend the other guys had sunglasses and T shirts on, I've no idea how they survived the onslaught of suicidal creatures

if its anything more than 10 mins or high speeds its a lid and now earplugs too if im going for any length of time.
go out in tshirt if its nice but otherwise its just whatever's warm, gloves if its really cold
+ a pair of omp carting boots so i can actually feel the pedals and not mash all of them.

Stops people asking for lifts.
We wear our musto sailing jackets on long trips.
They are ideal as they are designed for 80 mph wind and wet.
The large collar sorts out the wind buffeting.
They are more flexi than biker jackets as they have no armour but they are totally water proof and good for when its wet
