A car doing a similar drift during a rally

I've heard of the phrase 'get all your braking done before the corner' but this guy has now invented the phrase 'get all your steering done before the corner'.

Good effort, even though I hate the whole idea of drifting as a competition

100% agreed. Real motorsports are judged on time or position accross the finish line, not style. This is high powered ballroom dancing.

I also agree. This can't be a very efficient way to go around corners...

I just don't get it either...

Mind you, the Japanese don't half get excited by not a lot!

Yeah, Galli is quite entertaining to watch but rarely finishes a rally!

speedyxjs - 28/10/09 at 12:38 PM

I like the idea of a drift but could never support it as a sport. Drifting as a sport is a fashion show of motorsport imho

ETA - General lee is really

ken blocks videos - although they take 20 goes at it are pretty impressive, and 4wd

One more vote for 'what's the point'?.......rallying is vastly more deserving of respect IMHO.

I remember whatsisface from 5th Gear (oh, I remember - Tiffany Dell) doing a much better powerslide a few years back - in a large Mercedes saloon!
