Makes sense.

copying MotoGP and WSB points system. Shame the racing won't be as good.

morcus - 11/12/09 at 05:49 PM

Sorry to hijack this a little, but am I right in thinking Moto GP is production based?

The fuel thing will make the most difference for next year I think.

franky - 11/12/09 at 05:53 PM

No you're wrong for thinking MotoGP is production based. WSB is though.

123568

shouldnt that really be

123468

to make a smoother curve if plotted as a graph?

Stop being so P.C, there has to be something to talk about in F1

They should grid them like the Stock Cars too, championship leader at the back, after all its hardly surprising there's no overtaking if you put the fastest at the front. Save a fortune on all the qualifying rubbish, and the engines will last longer.

Sometimes I think they make changes, just for changes sake.

I'm sure they do, the teams could save a fotune if the rules stayed the same as they wouldn't need to redesign the car so much.

djtom - 11/12/09 at 10:17 PM

Dull dull dull dull. With no refuelling, the leader will be on pole with a car that has proven to be faster than any other car on the grid with all being the same weight. Not exactly a recipe for overtaking.

Why not bin qualifying, just have practice and then randomised grid for a 45 min race. 10 minute break then reverse grid for a second race?? Like touring cars?

Why doesn't bernie baby just hand over a big pile of cash to ferrari at the beginning of the day and they can all go home. Oh, charge admission to let the minions look and ogle the cars for a while in the AM... Makes as much economic sense as anything else they do.
