Is there a "standard" height for kitchen worktops?
I fitted a Howdens/MFI kitcen a few years back and lowered the adjustable cabinet legs (-25mm) to get the worktop to sit flush with a window frame
rather than mess about with the window. The top surface of the 38mm thick worktop is 915mm off the floor leaving 877mm underneath.
Problem now is I want to replace the crap single oven for a better double oven, but they look to be around 875-900mm high and require
support/ventilation space underneath
I'm not taking the whole kitchen apart, but SWMBO is not too chipper about the situation
Just measured mine and they are 900mm from floor to top.
Are you sure you're looking at double ovens for built under applications? Try looking HERE
880-900mm according to my chippy wife
Mine are 880 to underside of worktop.
900mm top of worktop with 30mm tops
910mm top of worktop with 40mm tops
hth
i aim for 910mm.
Assuming you are on about an integrated double oven, rathert than freestanding, then the 900mm height ones are for larder units (called built in
usually), built under ones go under the worktop and are around 720mm.
DOH!
Thanks for the feedback - realised I was looking at built IN and not built UNDER double ovens.
Game back on and SWMBO placated
