AndyW - 5/10/10 at 07:22 PM

Good evening one and all,

Im trying to trace someone and only have a name and the town where they live, I tried 192.com but they wont come up with anything, does anyone know of a free web site where I can check out to see if they are registered or anything.

Thanks in advance

I'm in the same boat. This hasn't worked very well for me but have you tried social networking sites like MySpace and Facebook?

info disk is the same as 192.com you have to be on the electoral register to be found on them.

I have used 192 with some success before. Do you mean it doesn't give you the information as its blanked out? Because if thats the case then you can work round it by entering postcode variations. I won't explain it now, but if you are getting greyed out boxes then I can possibly explain further

Yeah it uses the same database put you can search it In different ways and are more likely to find who u r looking for

can you find me ???

Instructions here on how to get more info from 192.com without having to pay.
Not sure if it still works as it was a while ago I used it. but you really need a name and town.

http://www.theukelectoralroll.co.uk/ costs £3.15 for a week's access.
Assumes they are a registered voter obviously. If their name is John Smith etc. expect to need some more detective work.

Depends whether you want to covertly find them, or its not an issue.

I have located a relative in Africa using the international telephone directory, got eight names from it which were exact matches, with numbers.

Then rang them all, my relative was No 4.
