use a third party hosting website like FREEOLA which lets U use your own web design software like Serif or others.

I made a site for my business a few years ago it was very successful and on'y cost me around £100 a year to setup and run.

Freeola lets U browse domain names and shows prices ... its very reasonable.

Cheers Alan

Check out Serif's WebPlus X4 software. Comes with ready prepared website templates, which you can edit to suit your needs.
I used it for our Club site (www.morriscommercialclub.co.uk), and can recommend it.

See also : - www.serif.com.

I got my space from Orchard Hosting and use WYSIWYG for making the site.

I am satisfied with both, although I need more Bandwidth (whatever that is!!) as I have run out of it this month!!

Any queries I had have been quickly sorted out by Orchard so can't complain.

WYSIWYG has a free trial to download, is easy to use by computer numpties (like me), it's easy to upload your site and the full version is so cheap. Can't recommend it enough.

I have used googlesites for my daughters football team, very easy but can be a bit limited depending on what you're trying to achieve.

Here's the site.

If your after a "pro" sort of site... I suggest getting a good hosting package with fantastico software installer..... Vidahost is good..

Use fantastico to install Joomla.... Download a suitable free template from the web, customise the images on said template and away you go.

Gives you the scope to add in booking systems etc into the joomla CMS.

I second Designer's comments re: Orchard Hosting. Used them since they first started up as a company and never had a problem.

Also agree with Tegwin's comments re: Joomla - very useful and easy to use content management system.
