In the search for added lightness I've been working on some winter mods to reduce weight.
So far I've managed to lose 7kgs of unsprung weight.
Took it out for a quick 11 mile shake-down run earlier today and it certainly felt much better and much more responsive than normal.
My knees ached a bit and I worked up a good appetite but I was quite pleased with the result.
I can't wait to start driving the Velocity to see if the diet and exercise regime helps with the performance of that as well
so what have you done to reduce unsprung weight?
That's what I'm wondering too......... Sounds to me as though the OP has lost some weight through a diet and exercise regime but may be
confusing sprung & unsprung weight?
Phil
I know the difference
But I don't have any springs
Of course when I'm sat in the car its all sprung.
we're 5 posts down and you still haven't told us the mods! Are you sure its not liposuction
UNsprung? Surely it's smaller/lighter wheels and brake discs?

Just me/us not reading the original post properly......... I'mn considering going down the cycle route, not really bothered about the weight, I want to improve my lung function so I can shout a louder
when the cam comes on

I've lost 24lbs in unsprung weight since Chrismas!
I'm down by 17.83% since 3rd Jan. Irritatingly, for the missus, I've not done any real exercise, it's all been diet based (no sugars,
no starches).
Feeling great and having to buy new clothes (and punching new holes in the belt)
I have been weighing myself frequently and the loss has been linear on average over the last 83 days.
[many thanks to wylliezx9r for the book suggestion here]
I lost a huge proportion of my body weight the other week through being really ill. It's amazing how much weight you loose from not being able to eat or drink for a few days.
He got alloy springs for the dampers.
I will just go hide in the corner behind the sofa.
