rb968 - 4/8/12 at 10:11 PM

Its been brilliant. Dead chuffed for Jessica and Mo !

StevenB - 4/8/12 at 10:15 PM

absolutely agree.
Nearly took the table top off watching Mo come off the last bend.
6 Golds today, Solid third in the medal table.
What a result.
Come on GB

daniel mason - 4/8/12 at 10:15 PM

and greg! also the rowers this am and womens team persuit cyclists

StevenB - 4/8/12 at 10:30 PM

Not that i am into sailing but this is the next one
I want to see chalked up.

Cav blamed the other riders for ganging up to prevent GB
from getting any sort of result and if the same sort of thing
is happening in the sailing then I really hope Ben uses every
tactic going to win gold.

Amazing wasn't it. I'm suffering from a serious case of Ennis elbow too

Team GB have done amazingly well - I've been quite caught up in it this time round much to my surprise. Andy Murray and Laura Robson have done a great job today regardless of whether they get Silver or Gold in their finals. Laura's smile was just brilliant after the semi final match. I don't think she could quite believe it!

As for Jess, she is just gorgeous isn't she! An intoxicating mix of talent, beauty and personality. We are so lucky to have her represent our country. We (the UK) have unwittingly placed so much pressure on her in recent weeks and you could see the relief on her face as she crossed the line tonight. I can only imagine how that must have felt. Good for her!

Let's hope Andy and Laura can bring more success in the Tennis.

Yes, fantastic job done by 'team GB' - I've not watched so much telly in years. Shame about Helen Jenkins dipping out in the Women's Triathlon yesterday, but she was up against some toughies. Especially after our 'domestic' Lucy Hall finished first in the swimming section - now she really is a stunner!

I went to Hyde park to watch the triathlon yesterday. It was a great day, shame we did not get a medal.

They were all hot, hot, hot ladies. After that and women in pants running around on tv me and the wife had an early night.

They've done themselves (and us!) proud!

big-vee-twin - 5/8/12 at 01:47 PM

Outstanding!! - and Ben has just won his Gold too

craig1410 - 5/8/12 at 03:52 PM

Just watched Andy Murray take the great Roger Federer apart in straight sets! Speaking as a Federer fan as well as a Murray fan this was a huge performance from Andy. In many ways, winning Gold in the olympics is even bigger than winning a grand slam which of course he has yet to do. The Olympics only comes round every 4 years and to beat Novak and Roger to take the gold is exceptional.

Well done Andy! Good luck Andy and Laura in the mixed doubles in half an hour or so!

scootz - 5/8/12 at 03:52 PM

And Andy Murray has just won something!

Ahem, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andy_Murray_career_statistics

17 million US dollars in prize money and 23 finals victories out of 35.

Just sayin'

Hellfire - 5/8/12 at 04:01 PM

So, is it easier to win olympic gold in tennis than a grand slam tournament?

Phil

Ask Federer - he's never managed it (in singles at least) and he's probably the greatest tennis player of all time.
