Can't put up a pic but the Groove Power UK Cygnett Ipad charger I bought three weeks ago from Morrisons to charge my Kindle Fire has just exploded with a noise like a pistol shot in the kitchen. Dislodged the cover of the sealed charger and scorched the socket and wall and scared me s***less. I was standing two feet away at the time having just plugged it in.
It's white plastic, typical plug in charger with the word Cygnett in grey, and orange logo, red LED and a USB socket. If you have one Don't use it! It was a big bang!
Found one reviewer on Amazon who had one explode.

I'm not surprised that it exploded as you were using it on a Kindle, below is the product description.

Manufacturer's Description
United Kingdom AC charger for iPod, iPhone and iPad. Simple and convenient, the GroovePower UK is the fast and easy way to charge your iPod, iPhone and iPad. At home or away, charing you iPod, iPhone or iPad is only a plug away.

It's a slightly fancy 5v switch mode psu with a usb socket and the appropriate resistor to make it work with iPods etc.

There's no reason at all for it to go pop, especially charging a kindle, as they require an .85A charger (assuming e-ink kindle) where many phones like 1.5A+ to charge in a timely manner.
