Hello from the Alps
MikeRJ - 30/9/04 at 11:31 AM

2230 meters up a mountain called Stubnerkogel to be exact (amazing wheer they put internet access now!).

I'm out here to get myself hitched to my girfriend of 6 years, and tommorow is the big day. Staying in a town called Bad Gastein about 100km from Salzburg.

All I can say is WOW. This place is stunning, the views are like nothing I have seen before. Hopefully the several hundred pictures I have taken so far will be ok and I can share the views.

No 7's seen out here so far, but then the temperature isn't very conducive to driving them!

Cheers for now

Mike

I think he meant she's 6 years old (I thought that was illegal anyway..)

Thanks for the nice words everyone, just got back home after a fantastic time in Austria. The owner of the hotel was well into his vintage cars, and we got to have a ride in his 1920's Rolls on the big day. Took zillions of pic's but need to sort through them. If anyone is ever considering an alpine holiday, I can thoroughly recommend the Hotel Gruner Baum in Bad Gastein, been thoroughly spoiled in the last 5 days!

Can also recommend getting married over there (if marriage is unavoidable anyway you understand!), all you have to do is listen to the vows in German, then the translated version, then say "yes" and fill in a form. Job done.

Party this Saturday with 160 guests, organising (and funding) this is a nightmare!
