I should have posted this earlier. Profound apologies if anyone came unstuck because I didn't.
Whilst looking for an inexpensive source of welding gas, other than the pub, I Googled 'Adams Gas' the other day and got a nasty shock.
The site had been hacked and I got a trojan on my PC that went past Kaspersky Internet Security like it wasn't there.
Tried to tell me that my PC had been locked by the police because I had downloaded child porn/zoophilia, spammed other people or let someone else do
it via my machine. Threatened massive fines or jail time.
Then tried to blackmail me for £100, as it was 'my first offence'to get rid of it.
It took me bloody ages to get it off my machine, I mean like two days.
In future, F8 on restart. Reboot to earlier date. Clears the bug. It isn't a trojen.

As you found the link to their website via google can you be sure it was their actual website you clicked on and visited? I've been on their site
browsing for the past few days and have not been infected with anything.
Can you post here the google link you followed?
I reckon mine came from a site about TITs
Alfie
Site views fine at work, although im a 'hobbiest discount on BOCs Y size argoshield' man myself.
Daniel
I've run out of gas and just tried to have a look and still looks to be hacked.

Has anybody tried Hobbyweld ?
I've been looking at learning to weld and found these as gas suppliers, not sure if there's is a good deal though?

sounds like you need something a bit better than that waste of RAM to protect your machine then....

Ah that looks a good bet.
To give an idea these "look" to be the same size as the boc x size bottle.
Rental is £68.60+vat
argoshield light/universal £31.50+vat
Pureshield Argon £41.97+vat
environmental charge £1.92+vat
You have to pay to collect it £13.70
so around £139 to get started
And the x size argon I had is around £180.
And the £105 rental always hurts.
I did try and get on the Volks deal but didn't get a reply.

just based my on experience of dealing with other folks machines
I'm well aware that no AV product is perfect, but I've seen more stuff get past Kaspersky, Mcafee, Norton etc...
and they hog loads of system resources and cost a lot of cash too
I used to be a fan of the trend and AVG, but they are also getting a bit power hungry
my brother's a big fan of F-secure which seems to be fine, but I've got on really well with the free version of Avast for a few years now
