WTF has wikipedia's sydney harbour bridge page got to do with syd bridge and war on terrorism?

Ned.

Jumpy Guy - 28/10/04 at 10:48 AM

Ehh?? Ned, pay attention.
Terror = Sydney Harbour = Syd Bridges.

It's so obvious really. Tell Mr BlairBush.

Hugh, I always wondered why you had that avatar...... its all become clear!!

ned - 28/10/04 at 11:30 AM

i can cope with sydney harbour = syd bridge, but where does the terror bit come from ?

the avatar does seem more transparent now, mr arce. crystal clear you might say...

Ned.

I did a search for "war on terrorism" which lead me to that site. If you scroll down that page, you'll see a "war on terrorism" hyperlink.
Quite a few unimaginative Aussies living or travelling abroad call themselves Syd Bridge after their beloved Sydney Harbour Bridge...hence the connection.
Not get much sleep last night Ned?

Cita - 28/10/04 at 05:50 PM

You dont need more cafeine Ned!
That's a very far sought relation between a name and a statement

We have the best bridge in the world.it crosses the Humber estuary......
I could call myself humbridge but syd might take umbrage....No offence.LOL

[useless fact mode]

the humber bridge is so large, that the tops of opposite towers are 2 inches further apart than the bases, due to the curvature of the earth.

the bridge wobbles like hell on the way back from a visit to the Wheatshief pub in Barton .. quite stable on the way there though... strange.
