Interesting, I was wondering about the legalities of getting a cart onto the road. A mate of mine used to race gearbox carts that can out accelerate a F1 car up to 80mph, imagine driving one of them on the public roads!

Can you imagine driving a cart on the road!!!! I mean no one will be able to see you and the chances of getting run over is huge. You would have to wear flourecent clothing and helmet, not to mention lights everywhere.

could be a larf though.

What about speed bumps!!!!!!!!!!!

It would be good in car parks, you just drive under the barrier!

What a horrible chassis design, not a single triangulation in sight. All the rigidity of toilet paper.

Karts rely on chassis flex - they have no other suspension. Actually, I believe the more flexible chassis handle better.

Well, they shouldn't need much in the way of suspension when racing on smooth tracks. The thing I would be worried about is hitting one of the front corners in an "off". The chassis would lozenge extremely easily.

Have a look at

Kartvader

I've got the DVD, I'd love to do it in my gearbox kart.
