dismantling and mounting gopro cameras
gremlin1234 - 26/11/24 at 12:26 PM

I have just seem a youtube video of someone dismantling gopro and gopro-alike cameras and mounting them in a small rocket

there are many things I would do differently myself, but I hope it gives some inspiration for installing cameras in our cars.

But why would anyone other than a model rocket builder want to lose the protection of the casing?

Nice video though, good find.

because you can then mount them almost anywhere,
inside wing mirrors, number plate lights, etc

As a permanent install? With waterproofing and cabling to battery and on-buttons? Oof that's a hell of an effort not to just use a gopro mount, but each to their own I guess.

building your own car is never just finding the simplest ways of doing things, though it often helps!

I just try to limit the number of projects I have on the go, I already have a problem!
