I've owned the car for two weeks and some thieving scum has already decided that it's his right to drive it when I'm not looking. Woke up this morning to this (see photo). Stupid bastards weren't gonna go anywhere, it's got cat 2 and 3 immobilisers. £50 for a new door plus what ever it costs to have it sprayed.

Gonna get a cat 1 and a snap off boss and wheel.

Unlucky mate, the wife's Saxo was broken into last Wednesday. They broke the rear side window and took the parcel shelf ... THE PARCEL SHELF ... and nothing else.

She woke up this morning to find that some 2@ had rendered the boot lock useless by trying to open it with screwdriver.

It should be legal to wire the car to the mains

Oh yeah, I meant to add ... don't forget to change the lock too, you don't want another key do you?

They tried to get into my mates 4 door a couple of years back by smashing the back window but it has deadlocks, so they smashed the front window as well to get at the radio, cd's and glovebox. Leave the stickers in the window for the alarm and it might put them off a bit more.

There were lots of hairline cracks in the paint on the old one, and a dent the size of a 50p. It was in the plan to replace it and spray it but was hoping to hold out for a while longer.

The passenger side already has a different key. Someone must have been at it before I bought it.

I can understand the parcell shelf. They were prolly stupid enough to cut holes in theirs for 6x9s, realised that some tw@t was just gonna steal them because they were on show so decided to pinch someone elses instead. W@nkers.

Hope I catch someone in the act one day. It'll be the worst of their lives.

Someone booted my driver's door in when I left the car in a car park on New Years Eve a few years ago. I was so angry I walked through the town centre yelling at the top of my voice, 'What b******* kicked my car?'
Luckily the cops came along and asked me what the trouble was. If they hadn't shown up I would have more than likely had my head kicked in by a bunch of drunks!
Mind you if I'd have found the git he'd be in a wheel chair by now.

once had 2 cars damaged at the same time. a local F****r climbed on my car and jumped onto my wifes car. £1200 damage. saw the F****r do it, called the police, but his parents said he was not there that night.

tell you what he never parked his car in the village again and was kicked out by his parents.

Jeez, same thing happened to me, mk2 escort and mk1 Capri jumped on on the same night, saw him do it, police useless, sorted his xr2 out really good.
I know two wrongs dont make a right but three must do!

If I were still working at the farm and had been in that situation his car would have received some attention from the JCB I think..........what complete arseholes.

Doing that to a modern car is bad enough, but to a classic where parts are tricky to get hold of.........

So far (touch wood!) In the Eleven years that I have owned it. No-one has jumped on the bonnet or the wings or the roof...........

Except me and my sons. I have Ally Checker Plate on the bonnet and Wing tops, and a full length roofrack with 18mm exterior grade Plywood covering that (getting more rotten now!).
So even if they do, it wont do any harm.

If they kick the sides of the vehicle... the dents will match and probably enhance the ones already there!

Scratches and chipped paint... Yup I got some of that too. Mostly from driving down unused and overgrown lanes.

Look!.... Buy a 21 year old LAND ROVER, and have an end to the problems you are describing.
Its not fast enough for the Chavs, its not Bling enough to steal anything off. The Tyres wont fit 99% of other vehicles.
It doesnt look out of place with dents scratches, or a serious padlock and chain round the steering wheel and the gear lever(s) Even my Jack is Padlocked in the back of the landy. Mainly to stop it flying about in the event of an Accident as its 4ft long and quite heavy (Hi-Lift Jack).

So forget the Daggenham Dustbins and get a Landy.

PS... If they want to argue about your car or kick or dent it... Just GENTLY turn the Landy Around near their pride and job... And Make a PIGS EAR of the manouvere, even a gently leaning on by the Landy would probably twist their bodyshell out of true!.
