Workmate has an Alfa 147 lusso,
the steering shakes at around 60mph.
He has taken it to an Alfa garage and they have fitted new brake discs and pads, new droplink and bushes on the ARB, new wheel bearings and new shock mounts.

He is £100's out of pocket and the car still shakes.

Any of you guys offer any sugestions, incidently he says he ran over a brick, could this have bent something that can cause a shake?

He could have buckled the wheel, or the wheels might just be out of balance?

would start with the simple stuff first like wheel balance, buckled wheel ect, would think they cheched that first ?

Thats the first thing i would check get the wheels in to kwik fit or somewhere and get them checked

Wheels have all been balanced and new tyres fitted.

I bet they had been playing cricket then with the exhaust rubbers.....my dad had the very same problem after having new tyres fitted.....turned out to be exhaust rubber in the tyre after a dinner-time cricket match...... was Formula 1 in Kettering by the way......muppets

after brakes, balancing etc bent rim as alredy suggested, wheel bearings or a bent wishbone would be my next guesses..

The muppets balanced the tyre with an exhaust rubber banging around inside, then fitted said wheel to car....old cheese shoots off down the by-pass only to find it tankslaps like a twat....took it back....red faces after old cheese loses the plot and starts swearing very loud when they find the exhaust rubber....they gave him his money back and he kept the tyres....but they will deny it of course
