Remember - that's a normally aspirated V10 - so that isn't turbo glow, that's the exhaust manifolds.

Which in a way makes it even cooler

I remeber seeing this video a while back. If you look, the engine is going through a set warm up sequence controlled by the computer.

that bloke in the first video is certifiable I reckon, at least push the bloody thing outside of your wooden shed to do that sort of thing

Johnmor - 1/2/06 at 05:55 PM

This may sound silly but I dont think its big enough for a RR Merlin V12.
They were 27 litre, looks like its from a generator or fixed pump or something.

Saw something similar on "planes trains and automobiles" only it was a 7.5l V8

Absolute madness, bet the neighbours were impressed.

If anyone went to goodwood last summer, they may remember this! The good old 27 Litre !

27 Litre 'Babs' Click!!

The t*at in the second clip must already be deaf. It really ain't cool to have your eardrums inverted for fun.

Looks like something the Blastolene http://www.blastolene.com/ boys might cook up. They've built a variety of V12 beasts with truck and tank engines including the the Blastolene Special with the 1800 cu.in (29.5 litre!) air-cooled OHC V12 from a Patton tank. Crazy, but in a good way
