Ok, I'm a wally........

Couldnt resist bidding on a Mondeo (1994) 1.8TD.
took it a spin round block drove nice, could feel turbo come in, 6 months test, bargain......
She whom as too be obeyed driving it home was doing fine, she passed me at around 60mph then I heard what sounded like a boy racer waste gate go wooooooooooooooosh as we was side by side,
It now drives just like an escort 55diesel, bit flat,
so...........
what are the usual suspects on these ? split rubber pipe ? easy too get at ? cant get at it at mo as shes buggered off out in it but as I'm home early gonna have a look see later.
Oh, £100 with 6 months test, 2 rent and 4 new tyres, so I'm not miffed at spending another tenner too get it right.

Advice please........

Oh any cheat way too get a ford radio code ? or is it off too local radio de code man ?

intercooler pipe blown off/split would be my guess.


what model radio is it, ive got a code generator somewhere, will see if i can dig it out and email it to you.

sounds distinctly like a blown or burst pipe to me, not uncommon
