I've rather a large picture collection, most relevant or of interest to Locosters.
I wanted to post them to my website but as it's shared with my business I'm restricted for space.
Does anyone know of one of the free sites that can take them.
Or any suggestions what to do to get some posted (Steady now, resist you lot!)

You can put em in the piccy section here - there are file size limits, not sure if a qty limit...


the other way is to set up a yahoo group, like the locost one, but just use the files and pictures section areas to hold your images and make them publically accessable.

Just done a quick and dirty count. There's approx. 120 Mb of pics. !!

if you have access to fireworks 4 I'm sure you can reduce that figure by running a 'batch process' from the file menu and exporting the images as a compressed or reduced colour gif or jpeg (little noticable quality difference but big filesize saving).

this feature is also good for resizing images for the web.

All the images used on the web are compressed to a manageable size.

It's amazing how many I have from 4 years of taking digipics. Probably not all are relevant but whenever I show anyone the photos they spend ages on my machine going through them!!

I still have pics from the first races of the Locost series at Mallory. Pics of the meetings I have attended over the years, including some of the guys who were at Chatsworth when Ron turned up and took some for his second edition book!

Pics of loads of 7 style cars and engines, pics from shows etc etc.

Further to Ned's suggestion of fireworks, there is a free utilitiy called REA Converter Pro, which will do batch processing of images to do pretty much anything you could ever want, the free version will do 10 or 20 at a time, the paid for (or cracked) version will do unlimited.
