My computer cd and dvd drives have started to act up. They are shown in the Bios and light up when the machine is turned on.. I have just replaced both drives and cables,,no joy..The comp. is running a AMD38+ and is almost new. Any of you comp.buffs any ideas.

Bit more info required, not just acting up ! Is the problem that you can't see them anymore? Are they viewable within Disk management (Right Click My Computer - Manage - Disk Management)

A bit more info and we can try to help.

Rich

Have you just installed any adobe software, you may have to start digging round in the registry.
