BKLOCO - 10/5/07 at 01:34 PM

I know this is both a downright cheek and unusual on the site but the people featured here are desperate. I work with this little lads aunt and Godmother.
Please click HERE
Thanks in anticipation.

Steve, if you look on this page:

http://www.georgeyeomansappeal.org/donate.asp

You just fill in the form and it lets you donate using worldpay. The uni use them to deal with all their online credit card transactions too.

Poor kid

I gathered that Flak... but no Paypal? I'm reluctant to use anything else online.

Maybe I'll send a cheque...

I will talk to the people tomorrow and see if they will set up a paypal account as this seems to be the favoured payment method. (it's just that there rake off is excessive)
As a point of interest however I have personally used worldpay on many occasions and have never experienced any problems.
Thanks for the link Steve.

If anyone can get links to other sites that would be good... Thinking of places like BlatChat etc.

We are trying to get this case in the media spotlight at present then hopefully it will really take off.

I'd rather use worldpay than paypal personally, mostly because of a general dislike of paypal and their treatment of sellers and fees, but i've set up a couple of sites with worldpay accounts before and IMO they're far more secure than paypal. You have to jump through several flaming hoops to get a worldpay account set up, any old monkey can take money on paypal.

A paypal option would be great as it's the only way I pay for anything online.

My nephew had leukemia which took 3 years of treatment to clear so I can imagine what they are going through.

If treatment is stateside, most pediatric facilities have a Ronald McDonald House nearby. Family can stay there for free(or nearly so).

If money is tight Doctors will sometimes provide their services for free, or at a reduced cost, and use the loss as a deduction on their taxes.

Be wary of providers who insist on payment up front. There are many organizations who provide assistance with international treatment.

St. Jude Hospital is well known for their services, as are most of the university hospitals.
