How'd you spend your lunchbreak?
James - 22/5/07 at 04:10 PM

Here was my handy work from a 'quick' nip home:

Bathroom wall
Bathroom wall

Absence of bathroom wall
Absence of bathroom wall

This is because the room isn't *quite* big enough for a standard bath.... so I'm putting up a new, thinner wall 60mm further out!

Anyone else's lunchbreak as productive?

Cheers,
James

I am on here, every lunch break!

We had a similar situation in our bathroom. Full size bath was 40mm too long. Being a lanky fella, there was no way I was putting in a stumpy bath. Solution - dig it into the wall! One end sits in the wall. We tiled over the top so you would never know! Still, hitting walla with a hammer is going to be the fun option!

Well.....

Slight accident. :(

Here's where I hit the tip of a couple of exposed nails..... and then realised quite what was happening with the heads!

The square hole is for a light socket.... the other two are the nails.

Not exactly lunch break, but here's my before and after pics.

Basically we're completely stripping a room that was hallway and closet space to make an upstairs bathroom. It's taking Fo-Eh-Vah!!! But we haven't been working hard at all.

Demolition is by far the most fun part. Cleanup the worst... Well, and worrying about the asbestos tile you just ripped off the floor... Thankfully it was the (mostly) non-harmful type of asbestos.
