Does anyone know of any existing threads or information on fitting bike carbs to the ford pinto engine.
Just thinking it may be an option for me instead of the thirsty weber 45,s I had fitted previously and now sold.

Most bike carbs will be suitable, aslong as the engine size is atleast 600cc.
I am using a set from a Yamaha Faser 600, and they work great.
The only thing you need to change is the main jet in each carb, it needs to larger 1.6mm-1.7mm. Bike engines tend to run leaner compared to old car
engines.
After you've changed the main jet, the tweaks you need to do, like idle mix, and slide needle height are all relatively easy, and quick to
tweak.

got a search on ebay for zx9 carbs.
Any other carbs other than the fazer ones.
I think i can manage the inlet manifold and like the simplicity of the likages and value for money factor.
any improvement on MPG,
I suspect the performance is noticable?
Have a word with "robocog" he has just changed his carbs. He will have the carbs, manifold, plus megajolt system all for sale. If not now, very soon. Regards Ray
