well after a bit of research and a bit more work, ive created a new letter for my attempt to get sponsored for the Formula Renault Winter Series,

Clicky.............

the sole purpose of this letter is to get them to get in contact with me, not acctualy close the sponsorship deal,

the website i quoted at the bottom is not online yet but of course will be before i send the letters out.

i would try to give prices in the letter but theres so many options avaliable i could realy do with taking through their requirements before quoting a price.

oh yes, please ignore grammar, its very bad but it is not the final version.

Looks good Matt, best of luck (unfortunately I think you'll need it!), remember us lot when you're beating Lewis hamilton!!!

Looks good Matt.

Correction "By choosing to sponsor me you are very effectively place your brand before nearl...." should read "By choosing to sponsor me you will very effectively place your brand before nearly...."

Also the paragraph before the car insert could mabe benefit from being split into two or three paragraphs.

If that letter came to me as a sponsor I'm sorry but I would dismiss it as a circular.

You need to identify more closely with the potential sponsor, at the very least mention his busness in the letter, better would be to draw parallels with his business.

For example. "By bloggs widgets sponsoring me it would demonstrate you are now supplying the motorsport market and that kamakazi widgets have a viable competitor."

Also I would only sponsor someone who is competing not someone who hopes to compete.

It will be a lot of hard work for you to research each letter but without that you won't have anything to differentiate you from all the other hopefuls.

Good Luck and remember the harder you work the luckier you get

V8Kid has an excellent point and it was mentioned in your first thread.

I take it you are going to include your race CV which documents your extensive experience and proven pace in lesser/other race series?

If you don't mention any of that you look like someone that one has seen some racing over the fence/on TV and thought "I can do that".

Cheers
