How do I get rid of her?
scoobyis2cool - 20/10/07 at 10:20 AM

We've just got a nice shiny new LCD TV to replace our 20 year old heap. I was messing about with it this morning and noticed something odd - when I watch the analogue version of Five (Fifth Gear), I get the normal picture, but when I switched to the digital signal there was a sign language woman in the bottom corner. Is there any way I can get rid of her or is she a permanent fixture?

I normally don't bother but I was just setting the TV up and it was the bit where Jason Plato set himself on fire.

as far as i know, sign language isn't an option/setting on any digiatl TV, only subtitles.

don't know why she would have been on one and not the other

Oh well, not a major problem, I think they probably just stick her on the Saturday morning repeat. None of the other channels had her, it just seemed odd that she was only on the digital broadcast.

Anyway enough chit-chat, I think I should probably go and hook up my Playstation to it and have a blast on GTA

Get a piece of card and tape it over the bottom corner of the telly - sorted!

Nice looking car

Home and Away?! Everyone knows that's just the poor man's Neighbours.

Thanks Gary, I was pretty pleased with how the car turned out, although I sold it a couple of years ago!

Early morning programmes quite often have the wavy-hand people...

I got that problem with my new tv , It is an option on the settings in your remote, I used a young person to sort it for me cos I am useless at modern remotes.

I'm a young person and the remote even confuses me - it looks like a more complicated version of the Starship Enterprise Control Panel!

I recorded a film on BBC3 the other week and there's this mad person waving away in the corner. I think if I watch it in 14.9 ratio it might get rid of a lot of her
