Been driving a route round Birmingham in the tin top for ages... Just counted the cams i have driven through 'on my side' of the road ....
no wonder my brake pads dont last!!
Route M6 M42 A38 - 86mile
Speed : Occasional Inst Ban Teritory
Cams : 26
Mobile Van : 1 (3 roving to watch for)
Police Vehicles : 2
I'm sure it will be quickly beaten !!!
1 camera never active, 2 or 3 times a week a mobile van.
every year or so i see a police car.
Cameras: 1
Police patrols: whats one of them?
But I don't speed, so nothing to worry about
But 26 cameras in your route is taking the pee big time.
every couple of months i see the police traffic car (only 2 in the county and normaly only one at a time, then it will mostly be on the A1) and there
are a few panda cars about (see one every week or two)
4 camera's (2 each way on the A1) but none on the roads I use every day
no mobile vans at all
And thats all despite living less than 1/2 a mile from the station they are all based at

lol The section of the M42 near has actually got in the order of 120 cameras in about 10 miles. One over each lane and they use the hard shoulder as an extra lane in the rush hour. So 4 cameras per gantry. Every one is active according to my detector. When I used that section I used to turn it off as every 400 yards it would pipe up. I would just follow the speed limit on the displays on the gantry.
Went under a bridge this morning on the M40 and it had a white unmarked van parked on it.
Positioned over each motorway lane was what looked like a temporary tripod with a camera on it.
No markings anywhere whatsoever. Van was white, cameras & tripods were grey
Anyone know what this was likely to be?

Don't ask. I'm a taxi driver and I suppose on average I must go through about 20.
I passed one this morning, parked up and hidden by articulated lorries. I spotted it too late - not even worth braking. I was doing about 80mph (Dual
Carr.).
I'm bricking it now and having just recently moved the car's not registered at my present address. Will I get in even more trouble for this?
I'm really nervous that something will be sent to my old address and I'll get in more trouble for not responding to it.
I'm tempted to ring up the Police tomorrow and ask them if I was caught...is this wise?

Hi
Some years back I was hit by a Red Light jumper and wrote of the Car
and put my wife in hospital (Minor).
The other driver (She) could not not be bothered to turn up at court
and just pissed the police/courts around.
And Guest what... we the recieved a letter basically stating "we" can't be bother either.

Thanks Omega, makes me feel a little better.
The road does have signs posted up warning of cameras dotted everyonce in a while so I'm sure that's good enough for them?
My own stupid fault but would rather know which way or the other it's gone. I'll never know if they send something to my old address?
And therein lies the biggest problem. I believe they are supposed to be plainly visible to you at all times (correct me if I'm wrong). So presumeabl if you find more people caught by the same camera all willing to go to court and say they were caught slyly you might get off with it (what do you all reckon?)
I'd say nowt and hope you've not been done. If you were doing 80mph max chances are with the error percentage you'll not have been doing much over 74. Hopefully you'll be ok.
