slight water leak
theconrodkid - 12/1/08 at 08:28 AM

i reported the sound of constantly running water to my local water company about 6 months ago.
they came and replaced the meter for next door,it was un-ocupied at the time.
yesterday i got a bill for the lost water £3800 .
it seems they been reading next doors water meter as mine.
i had a search round and found a gallon of water is about 1p.
so how big a mess would 380,000 gallons of water make?.
needless to say i told them where to go

You need to get it looked at, a constant water leak of that magnetude would creat huge errosion and could easily undermine house foundations.

Did you accidentally install a swimming pool?

An olympic swimming pool apparantly is 3,125,001 litres.. So thats about 800,000 gallons....

So 380,000 is a lot of water....

aha forgot about the swimming pool
as for the foundations prob,i doubt it lost a lot as it was dealt with in less than a week
