That RS-V8 has been about for 20 years.

It was originally based on Yamaha genesis FZR1000 engines, then updated to use the Thunder Ace stuff.

Eventually Mountune took over the project and one was put in a Chiron sports car.

It never completed a race and more over very often didn't finish qualifying or practice.

Poor old Peter Hobday, I do feel sorry for him as the car was so quick and reliable when it had the vauxhall in it, he should have put a Judd K in his like Doug Hart did but I've not seen him out since he spent all that money either. I've spoken to Peter a couple of times at meetings and they've not been able to keep it cool or pump enough water round it. It is quick when it's going but more often than not it's not
