Steve

Alfa145 - 23/3/08 at 07:45 AM

Another saddo here, was hoping for an interesting race but so far pit stop overtaking seems to be the norm again

Where's the rain to spice it up?

Sorry got a bit carried away should of said 5th

billynomates - 23/3/08 at 08:43 AM

Don't know how I managed to stay awake during that.
Think i'll paint the wall next to my tellie for the next race. Then I can watch it dry and compare it to the phenomenon that they call F1.

Most exciting thing in the race was when Hamilton's wheel wouldn't come off.

Stuart_B - 23/3/08 at 08:43 AM

The pit stop ruined his chance of podium, but lewis was clawing it back on the last few laps.

worX - 23/3/08 at 09:02 AM

Well that was the first and last F1 race I think I'll bother watching!

The most exciting bit is getting a good look at the cars on slow bends to see how they've changed over the years!

There is absolutely no comparison from F1 to MotoGP... (IMO of course )

Steve

GeorgeM - 23/3/08 at 09:09 AM

wait for the aeros to come off next year.
Should be more like the 'good old days'
then we'll see who can actually drive.
Be better than watching the playstation
drivers

pif - 23/3/08 at 09:21 AM

i was up too, but no early posts on here or live timing as i left the laptop at work.

pretty boring though - almost falling asleep for the last 10 laps.

good result though

go kimi go kimi go

I really hope your right, but I cant help thinking we'll still be sat watching the same old dross.

Give me a Moto GP race to watch anyday. Especially now that top Yorkshire bloke, James Toseland has got a ride.

BenB - 23/3/08 at 12:36 PM

I got up and watched it.... not the most exciting race in the world

In fact was there any overtaking??? You would have thought as it was one of the newer circuits they would have designed it for maximum overtaking opportunities!!!

Some circuits never give a good race (Monaco is a prime example) in as much as there might be "incidents" but very little driver vs driver racing....

Never did like those spiny hub-cap things. Didn't Ferrari first have them last year? Hope Max doesn't find out. Intellectual property and all that

welderman - 23/3/08 at 12:56 PM

yep next year no areo packages, might even start going to see a few races.

KIMI the iceman wins

BenB - 23/3/08 at 04:38 PM

Yup. He's the iceman. But he's also so bloody boring!!

Where's the passion? Where's the excitement?

Kimi wins a race, whoops the opposition and in a quiet unexcited voice goes

"it was good"

Call me old-fashioned but I expect a winning F1 driver to go crazy, neck a whole magnum of champagne and head off to their accomodation van with the entire grid's worth of umbrella-wielding spandex-clad chicks. Hell, swirvin' Irvine used to do that even when he didn't win

Ford Mustang Mach 1, not the Bullit one, but the early 70's one!

More interesting than the race!

Mike

I did laugh when i saw her wearing that, not that she can say its about safety in the pit lane with the flip flops on

Best part of the race was the mclaren guy calling ted kravits "james" that made me chuckle too.

should have stayed in bed for a couple of hrs, but as luck would have it we visited the outlaws so i went tits up in the armchair
