Over the past few months I've completed 4 quite major upgrades on the car that have involved a lot of spanner work and a fair amount of cutting
& welding.
I put the bonnet on this afternoon, pushed it outside for a trial run and it rained (that's another story) but the thing is I stood and looked at
the car and to the eye you cant even see where I've been, months of hard slog and it looks like I've done nothing.
Looked good to me the other day Jon, perhaps you need to get out in it?
Cheers

He said he's done stuff and it sounded productive - NOT gone backwards and fitted a car engine!!!!!!!!!!

I did a whole winters refit, cost somewhere around 2K, what have I got to show for it, a bump in the bonnet, and a flat wallet.

I can't help but make mine look better, such was the state it was in when I got it.
It won't actually be a better looking car, but the condition will be a zillion times better.
I guess the fact that it was built in 1982 and hasn't had a strip down in all that time has to be a factor.
I sometimes think a new build would have been far easier.
