My ear is now getting seriously chewed.
We have a Phillips 14" LCD Tv 14PF6 that we have had for a few years now. We moved last year and never got round to putting in the kitchen again.
Anyway as the Olympics are on 'her indoors' wants it up and running again. Plugged it in and can't get it to tune the channels.
When you go on to the menu the tuning part of the menu is missing. Tried the t'internet and suggested holding the menu button for 10s etc. Rang
Phillips and they suggested that I have a menu button on the side of the set which I do not.
I would like to get back to the auto setup bit when you first bought the telly.
Any help greatly received.
Cheers,
Steve
talking of long shots -
any chance you have it switched to AV input ?
Other than that, it may be the memory battery has failed after a long period of not being used.
You could get a cheapie Freeview box and feed into the AV input.

Good thinking that man. I will have a look at ebay now.
Thanks,
Steve
new Freeview boxes are a tenner in Richer Sounds....
Its on AV as above. Press a channel number button and make sure you're on analogue TV, the menu will then show.
There should be no reason for the tuning options to vanish.
