Broke a drive shaft at santapod on Saturday morning, now stuck wit no trailer phoned the AA on the of chance and they said no problem they will pick me up from from next to the start line. That's paid for this years membership.

Managed to grind to a halt in wokingham today. while im poking round the engine an old codger walks past and shout's "Whats up, has your rubber band snapped?" I could feel my grip on the screwdriver tighten!!!

The AA recovered my car last week when the ignition module burned out 20 miles from home. Great service and the guy treated my car very carefully. It turned out he had a Grinnell Scorpion that he built himself, so a top bloke in my opinion.

My views on the AA have been expressed previously. Call-out people = great. Customer services = lying little shites.

Consequently I'm with the RAC. Only problem there appears to be a lack of groundcrew. One and only time I broke down whilst covered by the RAC it took them 2 1/2 hours to come out (not a warm day either!!!)....
