e bay linky but this IS a bargan
having had 2 now, one that looked idential to that one and got about 70k out of it without one single breakdown and only oil changes and it never
failed an MOT, best cars I've ever owned. If only I had the room for another
Not exactly a looker though is it
That said, an old work colleague used to have a turbo (1.8i I think) version and loved it to bits and it did seem to be a very hassle free car to own.

gotta love the rice cars
My Dad used to have one as a taxi, got 250,000 out of it before it developed a crack in the block
and started using water.
Up to then it was as Whippy said, nowt more than oil changes.
Yep, very bland but very reliable.

well at least this allegro doesn't have the sporting alloy wheels which were made from steel and alloy.
I read somewhere that after about 2 years the alloy oxidised away from the steel as both metals where corrosive against each other..... ..gave owners
huge problems with slow punctures only to realise later it was the wheels not the tyres!! Trust BL to get it wrong.

Grrr... british built... grrrr
I bought a Civic because i wanted jap quality and reliability - having previously owned a few Mitsubishis (which were fantastic)
No-one told me the Civic was built in England!
I haven't seen such bloody awful build quality on a car for many years!
