same here

Hellfire - 16/10/08 at 07:35 PM

Graham, you're not quite there with your post count yet. 2500 needed the last time I heard, although it may now be invitation only. Keep posting mate.

Phil

Not quite. Suppliers of the Locostbuilders shop make very little/no profit. That's why the numbers of customers is limited. It used to be 2500 posts that was needed to gain access but since Simon hasn't got access with nearly 4000 posts, the only way in is to get an invite and you'll only get one of those if someone opts out or doesn't purchase much from the shop. I think there's a few invites still knocking about though.............

Dave, the invites aren't sent out by e-mail (unless things have changed) and you're not on the customer list either. Your name will usualy appear on the customer list a few weeks before you get an invite to enable existing customers to vote 'for' or 'against'

I'm not surprised.

Hellfire - 16/10/08 at 08:05 PM

The shop 'customers' can see whats for sale.

Look at it like this;

If you could get your hands on say, twenty R1 engines for £250 each, you could either sell them for a large profit on e-bay etc. or sell them in the Locostbuilders shop for little/no profit for the benefit of the shop customers who then promote that business.............

Short term sacrifice for long term gains

I need some pineapple slices for a cake that I'm building.

This joke comes round every few months.

The shop doesn't exist yet - Chris has created the links but that's about it.

I'm a low poster and it's working for me. Just picked up some cheap but brilliant rear lights.

BenB - 16/10/08 at 09:20 PM

I think it's because "you-know-who" who runs the shop is always next door......
