I've just got back from meal out to celebrate the wife's birthday. Bloody hell. Nice meal and we got a kitchen tour and met Marcus Warring. But let's put it this way, it was a meal for 2 and it began with a 4!!!! That's the last time I tell the sommelier to "choose some wine to go with each course"!!!

I think I need to lie down now!!!! Nice meal but I could have bought a dry sump pump for that!!!! Grrrrrrrrrr...........

Went to Abstract in Inverness a couple of years ago ( Just after it had been featured on Ramsey's
Kitchen Nightmares" and had the 'Taster' menu. 9 courses each with a tailored glass of wine all
of which was fantastic and took about three hours to eat ! Made a 'right proper evening'

Stayed over in the hotel and still didn't cost that much.....close though

is a habatchi restaurant the same as a tappenyaki restaurant, went to one in birmingham a while back and i loved it, very entertaining as well.
