Last I heard they were about to secure funding... that was just before it went quiet for a year or so.

Nobody seems to have heard from them in over a year. Even 2 years ago when I still frequented the smart forum, everything had gone quiet.

Its a shame because the Smart Roadster was a nice little car, save for the warranty claims. The artists impressions of the new car were really good too.

I too was a fellow owner. Sold mine due to back problems and not being able to drive (which i can again).

The Project hasn't been forgotten between those of us who care. Shame they couldnt fund it by producing a retrofit manual clutch for the Smart!!
