I’m undertaking a sponsored “grow” and I’m trying to raise donations. I’ve signed myself up to take part in Movember, a sponsored moustache growing that aims to raise funds for Prostate cancer research.

I was thinking about going for something more on the wild side to pray on people's pity

I didn't realise that Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK and 35,000 men are diagnosed every year and one man dies every hour. Scarily 1 in 11 UK men will be diagnosed in their lifetime.

Work that out as a percentage and then realise that 10% of the blokes on this site could be diagnosed with it and that's why I thought I'd put up with the ridicule of growing a silly tash to raise some cash for it
