My friend and I are building a TL1000 engine GTS W7DE and have hit a potential problem and wondered if anyone had any ideas on what to do, or if anyone had done similar.....

the clutch assy runs pretty much through the center of the prop making use of the origional MCyl a no go. it may possibly just turn 180 degrees and a few bracket tweeks may mean its usable but the clearance would be minimal...i.e 1/2mm ish. has anyone any ideas or pictures of something they have dont to get around this?

i thought about a mechanical rocker device or similar but hyraulic would be my preference

I'm not that familiar with the engine so might not be able to help but what does this mean?

hi arian, thanks for welcoming me to the mad house!

the meaning of the above is basically....
if you fit the prop the clutch mcyl doesnt fit. it would need to be about 2" inside the prop its self. if you imagine the chain and final drive on the bike would have run behind the mcyl assembly and gone to the rear sprocket. as its now coming straight out this is now the problem.

have i made it make sense of just confused you further....its quite a hard one to put into words other than its right in the f ing way!

Try an slave from Ducati get it from the brakers and make an clever bracket to fit your lump... quite small unit!

Thats more understandable. Don't know the answer (as expected)...so I'd set about it with a hammer.

that duke one is a cheeky little blighter. i might buy one and frame it rather than fit it.

stick the engine on ebay and get a tls engine ive got three spares and they have a cable clutch
