If I put my head on my bench I cant reach the car to adjust the tappets
great stuff thanks, also it stutters a bit when giving it beans, is this probably due to the car having not been set up very well, i only bought it
fri nite so havnt really had a proper look yet.
if its stuttering under acceleration then its more than likely a fueling problem, from experience with my megasquirt its probably running very lean under acceleration so either needs the fuel cranking up on the fuel map (if you haev that ability) or remapping
ok, wel its jus running on the standard dizzy on a webber carb? so do i need to adjust the mixture you think?
what is the car like under other driving conditions? is it struggling at idle ? or popping when your driving along? have you checked whether the needles in the webers are blocked. it might need the fuel pressure increasing slightly, do you have a fuel pressure gauge or checked the fuel pressure?
its not to bad, well the tappets need adjusting but im doing that today, i havnt i dont really no alot about carbs unfortuantely. but a far more experianced friend of mine is driving up to mine today so we'll have a look, Thanks for the advice, by the way looking at you r build pics did you buy the manifold for bike carbs or make it it looks real smart piece of kit! ben
dave at bogg bros made my manifold for me, everything else i did myself
