If I put my head on my bench I cant reach the car to adjust the tappets

*davies144* - 17/5/09 at 09:46 AM

great stuff thanks, also it stutters a bit when giving it beans, is this probably due to the car having not been set up very well, i only bought it fri nite so havnt really had a proper look yet.

omega0684 - 17/5/09 at 10:06 AM

if its stuttering under acceleration then its more than likely a fueling problem, from experience with my megasquirt its probably running very lean under acceleration so either needs the fuel cranking up on the fuel map (if you haev that ability) or remapping

*davies144* - 17/5/09 at 10:09 AM

ok, wel its jus running on the standard dizzy on a webber carb? so do i need to adjust the mixture you think?

omega0684 - 17/5/09 at 10:22 AM

what is the car like under other driving conditions? is it struggling at idle ? or popping when your driving along? have you checked whether the needles in the webers are blocked. it might need the fuel pressure increasing slightly, do you have a fuel pressure gauge or checked the fuel pressure?
