r1 carbon can on a CEC

hi guys,

anyone running one of these on a 4 pot car engine? any opinions, passed sva etcetc?

I tried the titanium one on mine (Toyota 4AGE) and it was quiet, but felt restricted.

Pulled it apart and was amazed at the various chambers and baffles inside - and ended up gutting it and turning it into a straight through "hotdog" muffler. Now it works like a treat! Can't comment on passing SVA etc.

I've got a carbon R1 can (version without a cat) on a K series. The last time it was tested at a trackday it was 93db so it should easily pass the IVA noise test.

the only thing the exit pipe is a bit short dont mount it clost to your rear wing

or it could be meltdown



oh yes my mate had one he didnt fittit it for that reason,he also had to get a reducer,
like somone says up there it might be restritive

Flows enough for over 150bhp @ 10k rpm
So that's the same gas volume as a 2litre at 5000rpm

So they are a good budget option for a lot of our cars and a good SVA/IVA option for noise for all.
If you want more headroom I'd suggest talking to Paul (907) about his cans.
