should jpindy keep his pinto in for the summer and enjoy the car and then swop to cossie?
or swop to cossie now and miss the summer, vote now
i though we might be able to persuade him to keep it!
yeah, use the car for the summer first, then swap after
he may as well do the job properly and go BEC. lol. i personally would enjoy the summer first. just imagine getting the cossie lump sorted as the rainy seasons start. that would reall p**s me off
OI, don't start that BEC milarkee!
Yes, otherwise what's the point of having the shipping forecast if it's not for those with big BAs in their cars
As I said earlier, not worth spending huge amounts of time and money trying to get a Pinto working... Get the LB massif on it, if that doesn't
work go BEC!!!

don't be a fool - take advantage of the weather.
I am missing out due to my engine swap - much harder than fitting the chosen engine in the first place and to do a job propberly, it takes 10x as long
as you thought it wood.
ok ok,il keep it,
you are right i was thinking about it last night,im gona try and get to newlands corner this sunday if anyones up there?
I am one of the guilty ones, I voted NO.
Get that Cossie in there.
Just based on the fact that I've been in a few Pinto powered cars
Id keep the pinto in there for the summer so your not off the road. The weathers too good at the minute to start engine swaps.
P.s i did vote no but the re read the first post. Should have put yes so take one from the no pile and put it on the yes!!!!!!!

I've jogged alongside a few Pinto cars in my time too Fesy...
Get a Bike Engine reay for winter and do it properly!!!
A Pinto engined car on the road is a far better proposition than a Cosworth engined one stuck in the garage all summer.
look dont hate me for this but the pintos sold i got good money for it,
my cossie engine has started to be built it should be done by sat,so then my mks being towed to the cossie gararge and there i can fit it and put it
on there rollers,
this is an opotunaty thay i cant say no to,i always dremet of having a cossie lump in somthing,
and to put one in my mk,its just got to be done,
anyway its only gona take 2-3weeks,i have a gararge and 2 mecanics that are there to help with the insall,i think thay are just as exsited as i am,
thanks all,for your posts i hope no ones mad at me

Isn't a Cossie just a glorified Pinto turbo?
I remember saying something similar to a guy with a Millington once (and that didn't even
have a turbo!!) I thought he was going to punch me!
Seriously, what spec is the Cossie?

To fit a cossie engine and box it will take a lot of work
you have to alter the gear box tunnel
move the engine back so the engine bay is wide enough to miss the turbo
If you went to Newark show there was a indy there with a cossie fitted
What rear Axel have you fitted ? will it be strong enough ?
good look with the mods you are doing

ok ,the cossies turbod pritty much std just a litte more boost to give say 250bhp,the engine is being built now new pistons running the pinto crank
pinto uprated cluch 'ap' and im keeping the t9 till the winter, and then il fit the t5,so there it is,
oh the exhaust it will take 2hrs or so,no hassle there,
so there we go by monday the pinto will be out,and i reccon by friday the cossie will be in,il take some pics along the way
