Does anyone have any information about how to make up adaptor plates to match your chosen engine to a sierra (type9) gearbox. General principles will do, I dont need engineering drawings (but they would be nice!)

One method i have had described is that you cut up two plates to match the gearbox and engine. you need to ensure they are parrallel and in line. Then, you cut up a series of 3mm or so steel plates, and weld them patchwork style between the two.
