zilspeed - 7/1/10 at 03:33 PM

2.0 V6 in Autograss car doing 10,500rpm

Dyno Run

Giving it some beans

I suspect that some investment will have been made here.

Mr Whippy - 7/1/10 at 03:45 PM

6R4 was a 3.0L V6

r1_pete - 7/1/10 at 03:57 PM

It was also a 2.8 and a 2.5 in various versions.
The older it got, the smaller the powers that be had them make the engine to allow it to continue to run.

Not a Mazda either I don't think.

We need an autograss guru here.

ashg - 7/1/10 at 04:01 PM

if guy croft is involved it will most likely be something italian

ashg - 7/1/10 at 04:11 PM

having a quick look it could be a alfa 2.0 v6 gtv engine

MakeEverything - 7/1/10 at 04:15 PM

It says BDA 2.0 V6???

MikeCapon - 7/1/10 at 04:29 PM

I don't think it's a V64V (6R4) motor. The camboxes don't look anything like that. It's difficult to see much more on those two vids. Also, as stated the motor was a 3 litre although later downsized to 2.8 and 2.5 and I'd imagine that going down to 2 litre would be pretty difficult and probably not very effective.

ashg - 7/1/10 at 04:35 PM

it cant be a bda as they are inline 4

bda must stand for something else

MikeCapon - 7/1/10 at 04:37 PM

BDA stood for Belt Driven A Series on the Ford motors. Been googling like mad but can't find any more on it...

Cosworth's Formula 2 Belt Drive Type A
A series was in the mini

It's a Rover KV6 engine, this one

MakeEverything - 7/1/10 at 08:13 PM

I dont want to say i was right, but....

Is it possible its a 2.0L though?

clairetoo - 7/1/10 at 09:34 PM

According to Wikadedia it was available as a 2 litre - although what it was fitted to isn't mentioned - maybe Freelander ?

Rover 45 and 75 according to:
http://www.aronline.co.uk/index.htm?enginekseriesf.htm

MikeRJ - 8/1/10 at 08:16 AM

IIRC it was made as a 2.0L so it could be homologated for BTCC

sebastiaan - 8/1/10 at 09:55 AM

loads of 2.0V6 rover 75's about here in NL. In standard tune it was an nasty astmathic engine, at least in the 75 where it was underpowered.

This one's a bit different though
