Where to get stiffer engine mounts?
Tiger Super Six - 22/3/10 at 09:13 AM

My engine mounts on my pinto seem a little soft as you can rock the engine quite a bit by pushing it.

Does anyone know where I can get stiffer mounts from and the part number?

Mark.

what kind have you got at the moment ?

if you've got the escort type mounts - then I'm told the 3.0 capri ones are a fair bit stiffer without spending too much

Burton power do excellent mounts by vibra technics, bit expensive though.
A good locost soloution is to use a polly bush for the enine mount.
I used one and itis firm, the engine goen`t move much at all, wibration is fine, although a v6 is normally much smoother than a 4 pot engine.

Was there a link?

I think I have the standard Escort mounts, but I didn't put them in so it's only a guess.

We used the rock hard Land Rover mounts.

Cheap as chips and "much" stiffer than standard ones.

The cosworth 2wd uses the same pinto block, the mounts look like a pinto mount to me.
