Zetec on the Rollers

This is the result from the last session at ATspeed where the cams where swung for maximum power.

The figures are as measured at the wheels. Interesting comparison with moving the vernier pulleys

engine spec ? thats some good numbers.

Omex 600
Jenvey DCOE TBs
New blacktop
CNC Heads Port and polished large valve head
CNC Heads cams (they are somewhere beyond fast road and below rally)
Bottom end is stock (arp bolts)
Standard pistons

The thing holding it back now is the exhaust so I plan to get Powerspeed to do a 4-2-1 exhaust for it. Hopefully we will see 175-180 at the wheels at that point. The head will flow enough air to make 250-260 at the cranks so the next step would be rods and high comp pistons.

Good job I'm upgrading from the look of those numbers

You have no problem Adi....your car must be 200Kg less than mine

will121 - 12/11/10 at 11:52 AM

thats a good result, only problem is im thinking i want more now

coozer - 12/11/10 at 11:55 AM

How much did that lot cost you? I'd be well disappointed with that for the engine spec there.

Just an honest set of rollers rather than a set calibrated to flatter.

It is at the wheels remember....

Thank you.
Good comment.

It drives really nicely, almost turbo like at 3.7K rpm. It is a credit to the guys at Atspeed. Once I have the 4-2-1 exhaust done it will be going back to Atspeed for another tweek and hopefully more than 170 at the wheels.

The car is seriously quick now.
