So I rebuilt my fireblade gearbox due to it going bang on a trackday, and for a giggle had my camera recording on time lapse: -

That's great. Always wondered what set up you'd use to do a time lapse film like that. Care to share? I keep meaning to look it up.

Music is Revival by Blame - seemed kinda appropriate since I'm reviving the gearbox

Just used my ContourGPS camera, which has a mode to take a photo every few seconds ( from 3 seconds upwards) instead of video. Then just import the pictures into Windows Movie Maker and presto.

You can do it with a normal camera (e.g. dSLR), but you usually need an external unit to "trigger" it at the required interval.

Aaaha. Thankyou. I never thought of that. I do remember seeing a programmable timer shutter remote for my nikon DSLR I had for my birthday! Will look into it!
