Can someone just check these are the ones I want for my st170 engine please. Thanks

Yes, to be sure the early ones from 2000 - 2001 are the ones that split but they look like they do

Yeah that's what I heard, but he is saying there from a k4 which is a 2004. So I thought I'd ask for some advice. Iv got the engine and all the old injection from it, so I might get these and start building them up.

I did see them, they look abit used and abused and I wasn't sure what the difference was between the 750 and 1000.

big-vee-twin - 17/5/12 at 08:18 PM

No real difference

big_wasa - 17/5/12 at 08:20 PM

No second set of butterflys to remove or holes to bung up.

degmwilliams - 17/5/12 at 08:21 PM

Is that on the 750 ones above big_wasa?

Hi mate, that is a shame I would have been interested in them. Do these have two sets of butterflies? Do you think these are the right ones I need?

yorkshire-engines - 17/5/12 at 08:50 PM

Hi all K series have twin butterflys the earlier s rad have single
the best are srad but the k series you just wire the secondaries open
then they work just as well

Hayabusa are the best type though but a little bigger than 1000,s

I think I might get the ones in the link I posted. What do you need to do about a mass air flow?
