hi guys, my gearbox was damaged on the rolling road so building a new one using BGH components. Im using the haynes manual and it says to fit a spacer on the 5th gear syncroniser unit. I have the spacer but when i fit it the circlip cannot go in, but without ther spacer it can. I dont understand what ive done wrong as it was there when i disassembled it. The big rear bearing has its circlip in so i know the shaft is out as far as possible.

just realised the spacer is plastic and not the metal one i have. Which means i have a metal spacer left over which is a worry as i cant figure out where it goes.
